More about ACE…
ACE stands for Accelerated Christian Education. CBC has chosen this program for our Bumblebee Uni-Focus Distance Learning Centre, which is affiliated to TEACH-ASIA Singapore. CBC’s Centre is located at 27, Jalan Puteri 4/1, Bandar Puteri, 47100 Puchong.
ACE is a Home-Schooling Program which is more than 42 years old. It started as a curriculum for children of missionaries around the world. Today, ACE is preferred by many parents as it is based on Christian values.
ACE has identified 5 fundamental ‘Laws of
Learning’ and has made these learning concepts the very basis of
the
total ACE program. These laws recognise that:
1. Your child must be at a level where he can perform.
2. He must have reasonable goals.
3. His learning must be controlled and motivated.
4. His learning must be measurable.
5. His learning must be rewarded.
College Entrance Preparation
The Centre’s role in preparing students for college includes more than a mere academic preparation. The ACE program is designed to develop the students’ spiritual and mental aptitude so as to assist them with the rigours of higher education. They will develop the ability to set and enforce personal goals.
ACE incorporates ICCE
ACE incorporates the International Certification of Christian Education, United Kingdom (I.C.C.E., U.K.) ICCE is an alternate route to:
1. G.C.E. ‘O’ and ‘A’ Levels in the United Kingdom (General Certificate of Education –
Ordinary and Advance Levels.)
2. S.A.T. 1 & 2 in the United States of America (Scholastic Aptitude Test – Levels 1 & 2.)
It is accepted for entry by private colleges and tertiary
institutions in Malaysia and abroad, including the USA, UK, Canada,
Australia, Western and Eastern Europe, Africa and Asia-Pacific
countries.
ICCE has 5 Levels of Certification
1. Basic
2. Foundation
3. General
4. Intermediate
5. Advance
ACE students need not acquire all the certificates. They aim to work towards the highest level they can achieve.
