n the evening of
February 25, 2008, we gathered at Kooilan's home to meet up with Ron
Choong. My reaction when Ron made his entry was: "Wow, Ron, you are so
big, compared to Robert, my husband!" Ron replied, "I am not only big
but am fat, too - the American-size man!" We all had a good laugh.
A fair number of ex-CBC members in Melbourne were unfortunately unable to attend. However, the few of us ex-CBCers who attended had a blessed time catching up with Ron and making new friends with Kooilan's Church members, who were involved with Ron's Conference in Melbourne in some way or other.
There was Malaysian food to whet our appetite, of course, but Ron's sharing of his good old times back in Malaysia, the CBC church, his UK Law studies, and the calling to God's ministry in New York, captured our attention.
May God continue to bless you, Ron, abundantly as you serve Him faithfully through Christ Jesus our Lord.

he Melbourne Conference
-
'Challenges confronting the Christian Mind’ organized and sponsored by
six Melbourne churches attracted some three hundred young and 'not so
young' adults from these churches.
The conference held over three nights and a full day with topics ranging from Intellectual to Cultural and Relational challenges, captured the minds of varying interest groups. We were challenged to 'develop a Christian mind and form the habit of thinking things through theologically' so that our world view will be influenced by how we view our relationship with God. Ron stressed that: 'our minds matter' and Christian Discipleship is a Discipleship of the Mind. The enthusiastic reception from the Melbourne attendees to Ron's intensive and information-packed discourses must have surely convinced him that we are eager to be discipled in our minds by Christ.
