Having taught most of the participants for at least 2 rounds, we felt there was a greater bonding with them, especially with the local committee members. We had the privilege to take the latter group and their families for a dinner. This helped build relationships and have fun after the trainings.
There were two groups of people we built bridges with. Firstly, the converts from Buddhism, whom we felt would be instrumental in evangelising more of their kind because Christians in this category was less than 1%. The second group are the business leaders in the market place. They requested some business training when we come later this year. As we understand, most businessmen have to go overseas just to attend such trainings and very few are privileged to obtain passports. We are humbled when we see God’s children so hungry and willing to learn from us. May the Lord open the doors that more Christian leaders are able to go to Myanmar. So far, we have covered only Yangon. There have been requests for us to go to other parts of Myanmar, too.
