Pre Bible Day Thanks-giving Service and

Song Competition 2006 - Yangon, Myanmar.

The Pre Bible Day Thanks-giving Service and Song Competition for 2006 was held in Phu Tha Phyu Hall in Insein, on August 12, 2006. More than 1500 young men and women from 19 churches representing different denominations participated at the competition and more than 5000 people came to witness the celebration.

 

The function was honored by the presence of guests: Daniel Lim, Levi Sap Nei Thang and their friends, and Dr Julian Sunder Singh (UBS, Media Consultant). The winning song was composed by S’Asaungman, a Pwo Karen young man, a staff from Studio D, based on the theme of Bible Society for 2006, “God’s word Hope for Unity and Peace.” The Distribution Department of Bible Society of Myanmar is arranging a VCD of the function as Bible advocacy within Myanmar as well as abroad among Myanmar peoples. The winners of the song competition were as follows:

Second :      Ywama Church

Third :          Karen Baptist Theological Seminary
