LETTER FROM CHENNAI, INDIA

(Extracts from Pastor Kumar’s letter of December 6, 2006)

Hello friends and Partners,

 

Thank you for Praying and Partnering with us. We value your support and friendship very much.

 

UPDATES and PRAYER POINTERS:

In Bihar, we have 36 churches now and there are workers positioned in 56 unreached postal codes. There are 171 Cell Groups with believers meeting on a weekly basis in various villages. This is amazing as all these places did not have a Christian witness before! Indeed it is a history making event! Also, the believers are first generation Christians!

 

The 15 Missionary Training Students from Chennai have successfully completed their class room teaching and are now in Bihar for their practicum. This is their first time in Bihar. Pray that they would have an increase in burden and passion for the unreached in that land. The 16 native church planters, trained successfully in Bihar, are positioned in the various postal codes. Pray that these will take up the challenge to reach their own kinsmen. Pray for a good year end harvest of souls in the whole Bihar Mission field. We want to see more souls saved, water baptized, filled with the Holy Spirit and discipled to serve. Church Construction is about to be completed in Adilabad, Andhra Pradesh. This was an amazing provision from God! The 26 House of Hope Children in Chennai are keeping very well. Continue to pray for them and for success in their studies!

 

On the home front, we are keeping well.  God has blessed us with a good house ..... although it is a rented place, we like it very much. It is near Jeanette's school and we have also asked Kumar's mom to come and live with us. We are quite busy, but, enjoying every bit that we do!  In the midst of all this, myself (Kumar) and Jessie are also doing our MASTERS Program with the University of Wales. The Assignments are quite demanding....you can pray for God's grace for us in that area.
