The first half of 2006 has just passed by. As we reflect, many exciting events have taken place and we give all the glory to our Lord.

One major event is the Kota Damansara Project. We praise God that finally, CBC has full possession of both shop lots. It is truly a journey of faith – starting from March 2002, the Lord gave this vision to Pastor Reynold of planting a new outreach point. It certainly brought him, and some members, out of their comfort zone. Today, God has provided all the resources needed and soon, the first Worship Service will take place. As for the Dialysis Centre, we await approvals from the authorities as well as funds to purchase the first ten dialysis machines. We covet your prayers to see the Lord’s Name established in Kota Damansara.

We are encouraged to see our Young Working Adults coming together to make an impact for the Lord. They truly are a bunch of ‘Young, Enthusiastic and Happenin’ people. Recently, at our church sponsored seminar on “Science and Religious Pluralism” conducted by CBC’s missionary from New York, Ron Choong, it was heartening to see the YWA participating. Their numbers were more than the ‘oldies!’ It just shows where their interest lies. We need to stir them on as they will be the future leaders of our church.

Our team to India had another successful mission in March. Heart warming words from Victor Lal, local Bihar missionary, really make every discomfort so tiny. Here is what he said: Every time a team comes, something happens; either someone is healed or more people come to the church. It is no wonder that the same people would go each year to India. We would encourage those who have not been to venture out. We guarantee you will never be the same after you go!

After the formation of the Mission Task Force last year, the group quickly instituted bimonthly prayer sessions. Do join us when you can. These are powerful sessions because God’s heart is touched when His children get together to pray. We share some of the prayer items in this issue for you to start your intercession.

Our prayers also touched on human rights issues. We have continually prayed for the Moorthy and Lina Joy cases. We are bent on pursuing this as our future generations will certainly be affected by decisions made at the High Court. Make it our responsibility to know our rights as stated in the Malaysian Constitution. At one prayer session, we felt we are like Queen Esther, who took action and changed the course of history forever for her race. We need to be united to pray. Who knows (except our God) that things will turn towards our favour and Malaysia will experience revival soon!

My thanks to those who contributed to this issue. We are ever hungry for articles! Please do pen your testimonies and send to us. The Lord said in Revelations that we overcome Satan by our testimonies! May the Lord continue to give you victories.
